THE FARMINGTON AREA SENIOR CITIZENS
On October 4th. 1976, 15 interested Farmington Seniors met to form the FARMINGTON AREA SENIOR CITIZENS. Their purpose was (and still is) “To promote social and recreational activities and good fellowship among senior citizens”. In October, 2009, we celebrated our 33 anniversary.
General Information
All People 60 and older are welcome
Meetings held at: Mertensia Park Lodge - 1348 Mertensia Road
The first and Third Mondays of the month.
Note: If Victor schools are closed due to weather so are we.
First Monday of the month:
11:00 Senior exercises done in a chair. (If we can get a DVD/television)
12:00 Lunch
Members bring a dish to pass and their place setting
Drinks furnished
12:45 Information of activities and interest to the area residents.
Some times a program of entertainment or card, dominoes, etc games
Third Monday of the month:
10:00 Make craft favors for Meals on Wheels.
12:00 Lunch
Members bring their place setting and a sandwich or salad.
Drink furnished, Desert furnished by volunteers
12:45 Information of activities and interest to the area residents.
Usually a program of entertainment or interest
July and August meeting are sandwich meetings.
The first week in August is a picnic. The first week in December is a Holiday party.
Dues: $10.00 per year plus a $ 1.25 used as a Holiday fund – flowers to shut-ins
In addition: Farmington and Victor Seniors have a trip to various places some months. Get details from any officer below; Farmington members can sign up at meetings. Other seniors welcome.
